Uniseal’s new Flush Casement Window meets the requirements for the more traditional windows.
All over the country, in villages, towns and cities there are properties that need more traditional replacement windows. It could be an old traditional Inn, a remote farm cottage or a converted church, with these kinds of properties you can be restricted by being in conservation area or the building being listed, the problem arises where a normal Casement Window System cannot suit the appropriate design. Our Flush Casement Window have addressed these issues by giving the planning departments a more Planet-Friendly and energy efficient solution than to traditional timber.
We are not interested in losing the traditional style. We are only interested in improving what is already there. Uniseal’s Flush casement matches the proportions of the original style of the traditional window.
Deep Bottom Rails
If the original timber frames have a deep bottom rail, we believe our version should look the same. That’s why Uniseal’s Flush Casement system includes a deep sash profile specifically designed for the job.
Traditional Crafted furniture
Our tribute to the hand-forged hardware of a bygone era is seen in our choice of Monkey Tail and Pear drop handles with dummy peg stays. To be fair nothing else looks the part.
Unlike some flush casement systems, Uniseal’s is available in 28mm and 32mm glazed options. It’s the only flush casement that will accommodate a Triple-Glazed unit. It also means you can achieve outstanding performance in a traditionally styled window.
U Values and WERs
Typical U-values achieves 1.3 W/m2K with double glazing.
Typical WERs Achieves A+ with Double Glazing.
LINES AND PROPORTIONS
We’ve thought of it all: the right-sized frame with the right-sized window, and transoms, mullions and dummy sashes that create the authentic appearance and lines of a traditional Flush casement. the shape is chamfered on the outside to shed the rain, and there’s a choice of a chamfered or sculptured shape for indoors.
SHADES AND TEXTURES
Colours and wood finishes have been carefully selected to complement different building materials, periods and environments. There are soft, subtle shades: delicate creams and greens, striking greys and a host of timber effects. Choose a particular colour and we’ll match it or pick a different finish for indoors and out.
HANDLES AND STAYS
We couldn’t let our hardware let us down! The traditional appearance was a must, so even though our Flush Casements have their own friction hinges, we’ve got dummy peg stays and gorgeous, monkey-tail handles all finished the way you’d expect, with period colours and a craftsman’s attention to detail.
